A typical day in my life as a Kleeneze Distributor

Catalogue Deliverers

What is a typical day for you? I guess it depends on your situation, do you commute to a nine to five job, work hard, then commute home? Do you get the kids’ breakfast ready, get them ready for school, take them to school, wash, clean, pick the kids up, make tea….?

We are all different, but if you’ve ever wondered what it is like being a Kleeneze Distributor, then I hope I can enlighten you. You can see here how Kleeneze Works.

Every day is different, but this will give you an idea. I work hard on my Kleeneze business, because I know the rewards will be fantastic. A fantastic lifestyle, holidays whenever we want to take them, residual income, early retirement if I want to, making sure I can treat my children whenever I want and so much more. I know I will achieve all of these things, but I have to earn those rewards, so let me explain how I am doing that….

A typical day

kleeneze successI wake up about 6am, and spend an hour working on my Kleeneze business marketing. This might be writing a Blog page (like this one), or creating a Google Adwords campaign for example. As a Kleeneze Distributor, growing my Business is the most important daily task. Growth now gives me the security, income, and lifestyle for the future.

 

Kleeneze shaveA quick wash and a shave, and then about 7:30am, I go out and deliver my Kleeneze catalogues to my customers. This is the part that most people associate with being a Kleeneze Distributor. I deliver about 100 catalogues, once a week, to my regular customers. When I first started I delivered a lot more than that, as I was finding and building my customer base. A new Kleeneze Distributor delivers around 250 catalogues a week to get started. I now get the rewards of that 6 months work at the beginning, as I only deliver to regular customers, so it is a lot less work, and a lot more income from their orders.

So by about 9am I come home, and I really enjoy my breakfast. Most people are only just getting into work, and I already have my catalogues out working for me, and my marketing is out, finding new team members for me. I have already had a productive day, and it is just 9am. I sit there with my mug of tea, and my toast, feeling very smug.

But I don’t stop there. After breakfast, I make some phone calls to people that have responded to my adverts overnight. Maybe they received one of my leaflets, or saw an internet campaign, or read an article on my blog.

happy-phone-callI love this part. I have a quick chat, to understand their situation, and to see if Kleeneze will be able to help them. I get to speak to all sorts of people. Mums that want to earn some money around the school run; Hard working people who are struggling to find work, and are sick of being on benefits; Professionals who are worried about their pensions, and want to build a secure financial future. This variety makes my day.

After speaking to each one, I send them a Kleeneze information pack, which explains to them about becoming a Kleeneze Distributor, and how Kleeneze might be able to solve their problems, and improve the quality of their life.

Once a week, around mid-morning, Clive, our ParcelForce driver, delivers my orders that I collected from my 100-or-so catalogues I had delivered last week. I sort the goods into my different customer orders, and put them all in the car ready to deliver.

 

As I drive round to each of my customers, i give them a quick call to let them know I’m on my way. They like this, so they can get their money ready, and they’re not surprised when I knock on the door. This is a great part of my week. All of my customers have stories to tell, about their day, or their week, or their life. I love listening to them, sharing a few minutes and enriching my life and theirs, in just a small way.

In mid-afternoon my daughters come home, Scarlett from school, and Sophie from her Day centre, and I love to spend a few minutes with them and my wife Sarah, over a cup of tea, finding out what exciting things have happened today.

 

In late afternoon I usually spend an hour calling my team members. We have a quick chat,  see if everyone is ok, if they need any help with anything, check that they are happy that their business is growing as quickly as they’d like.

We have our family meal around 6pm – this is a really important time together, and I love being able to eat with them without feeling stressed after a long commute. It is a relaxed time when we can talk about our day, our plans, and life in general.

Around 7pm I usually have some more calls to make – people that want to talk to me about joining Kleeneze, but who work during the day. Other prospects that I have not yet been able to speak to, I try them in the evening, as it may be more convenient for them to talk then.

Once a week I run a training webinar for my team, and other Kleeneze Distributors and their teams. This is just 30 minutes from 8pm, but they seem to go down very well. Short, sharp, and helpful, I hope.

 

Kleeneze jim RohnBy 9pm I am almost finished for the day. I help Sophie to bed (she likes a story, and I love reading to her). and I finish off with a bit of reading. Personal Development is one of the secret benefits of becoming a Kleeneze Distributor. I have learnt so many skills that help me in all aspects of my life – how to stop procrastinating, how to do things that seem a bit scary at first, how to stop criticising people just because you don’t agree with them, how to be positive, optimistic, and cheerful. All of these things make my days wonderful. and all of these things I learnt by reading for a few minutes each evening.

Why Does Kleeneze Work?

Kleeneze is a Home Shopping Business, and the most common way to start earning money with Kleeneze is by delivering Kleeneze Catalogues.

As a Kleeneze Distributor, you deliver catalogues to houses in your area. Your customers put them back out on their doorsteps a couple of day later. Some people will order from you, and some people won’t. You then deliver the goods back to the customer a few days later.

Kleeneze is a very simple business. It is simple, but it is easy to think that it will not work for you.

That is because, when you first start off, you have no customers at all. Well maybe your mum or your sister, but not many customers. So you deliver 250 catalogues to 250 houses, and maybe you get 10 or 20 orders.

Now that doesn’t sound like very much. A lot of work for not very many orders. And this is when a lot of people think that Kleeneze doesn’t work. They wanted 250 orders from 250 catalogues!

But wait. You then deliver the goods to your customers. You’re polite, friendly, courteous, prompt, helpful, all of the good Customer Service skills that we teach you. Then your new customers think: “Oh that young man was nice, I’ll order from him again”

So you don’t just have 10-20 orders. You have 10-20 customers. That is important, because satisifed customers will order from you again. And again. And again.

So you put your catalogues out to some new houses, and you get maybe 12 orders this time.

Next time you get only 5 orders. The time after you get 19 orders. and you keep going for a month. Putting your catalogues out to different houses, and getting orders, and growing and growing your customer base.

After a month, you go back to your first houses, and deliver to them all again (except a few that said they did not want a catalogue). You already have 10-20 customers from the first time round, so you maybe get 12 orders from them, but you also get 8 orders from people that didn’t order the first time. That is 8 new customers.

Your customer base is growing.

You continue doing this, building a bigger and bigger customer base, and after a few months, you change the way you are delivering. You stop delivering to all of those people who have never ordered from you, and you just deliver to your regular ciustpomers.

So now, you are delivering, say, 100 catalogues, and you get 30 orders. It takes less time, fewer catalogues, but you get more orders, and earn more money.

Kleeneze works by finding some customers that want to buy from you. (They will always be there), and by looking after them, they will order from you again and again.

This is the point where you get a much bigger return on your efforts, and you can continue to serve your customer base for as long as you want. Years and years and years.

The Pros and Cons of Kleeneze

I have been a Kleeneze distributor since 2008, so about 6 years as I write this, and I love it. But what puzzles me, is that a lot of people look at the Kleeneze opportunity, and they decide it is not for them.

Why would that be? Maybe it is a bit like Marmite – you either love it or hate it.

When I started introducing other people to the Kleeneze opportunity, I felt that all I had to do was get what is in my head, into their head, and they would join.

The Pros and Cons of Kleeneze

The Pros

These are the main reasons I joined Kleeneze, and the benefits that I see as a Kleeneze distributor…

You can choose your own hours.

I work hard as a Kleeneze distributor, delivering catalogues, collecting them back from my customers, delivering their orders, recruiting new team members, and supporting them. I work longer hours than I did when I had a job and was working for someone else. But I can choose when I work. I take time off to take my daughter to her Day Centre. I meet my wife for a coffee or lunch in town, I take my daughter for her music lessons. I take a couple of days off to do some walking in the Yorkshire Dales. I can do all of these things whenever I want. That freedom is important to me.

You don’t have a boss telling you what to do.

angry-bossI work hard because I want to work hard, to build a good income and a quality future for my family. I can choose what parts of my business to work on. Sometimes I feel like putting lots of leaflets out around an area in which I want to recruit a new team member. Sometimes I want to find some new customers in my area, so I put some extra  catalogues out in that area. I do these things because I want to, not because some Boss tells me what to do. That freedom to choose is a fabulous way to build an income.

You can have as much overtime as you want.

This was a big benefit for me. If we were coming up to Christmas, or I wanted to save for a special holiday, I can simply put some more catalogues out, or do some more recruiting. I don’t have to ask the boss for some overtime. I can have as much overtime as I want, as often as I want it. That means no more money worries for me.

You can have a pay rise whenever you want.

Kleeneze Pay RiseThis is related to the last point. In my old job, I pretty much had to wait for the company to decide when they were going to give pay rises. And if the business was not going well, the pay rises were not great, or often there was no pay rise at all. With Kleeneze, my pay rises are based on my efforts. I can have a pay rise whenever I want, by putting out more catalogues, finding more customers, or recruiting more team members and supporting and coaching them.

There is as much support and training as you want.

Kleeneze is a Network Marketing Business. What does that mean? Basically, the person who introduces you to Kleeneze is your upline. They will get paid bonuses by Kleeneze if you are successful. That means that they have a huge desire for you to be successful. The more successful you are, the bigger their bonuses are. So they want to be the best coach and mentor to you as they can possibly be. In my old job, my boss always seemed to be a bit nervous if I did too well, in case I got promoted above him. In Kleeneze, your sponsor wants you to be as successful as possible. In fact they don’t get paid any bonuses unless you ARE successful.

After going to Miami, I suddenly realised how fantastic these conferences are, and I wanted to make sure I qualified for the next one, and the next one, and the next one. …and finally, the one benefit above all of the other benefits that, for me,  puts Kleeneze head and shoulders above a job. Residual income. What is Residual Income? Briefly, it is money that you get paid, month in, month out, after the work you did to generate it has long been finished.

Authors get it for writing a best-selling book. Musicians get it for writing a number one hit, and Kleeneze Distributors get it for building a team of successful Kleeneze Distributors.

The Cons

So if I only showed you the Pros, it would be a pretty lop-sided discussion, and you would be right in thinking it sounds too good to be true. So what about the down-side of Kleeneze?

You have to be prepared to work hard.

work ethicKleeneze is not a Get Rich Quick Scheme. It is a work-hard for great rewards scheme. The best way to build a core base of customers who order from you regularly when you deliver your catalogues to them, is to deliver as many catalogues as you can. Then, as you find customers, you look after them well. If you do that, they will stay loyal to you.

When you start team building, you will find that the harder you work, the more your team will want to replicate what you do, so the more successful you and your Kleeneze team will be.

Sometimes it rains.

Most of your retail income will come from your catalogues, delivered by hand through the letterboxes of your loyal customers. That means delivering catalogues to your customers, and collecting them back a couple of days later. We live in the United Kingdom. Occasionally it rains. So occasionally you get wet. My philosophy on that is simplke. There is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.

There is competition out there.

As a Kleeneze Distributor, you can deliver your catalogues wherever you want, within the United Kingdom and Ireland. There are no boundaries to limit where you can deliver. This means that another Kleeneze Distributor can deliver catalogues to an area that you want to deliver to. Is that a problem? That’s up to you. It is a bit like having several Coffee Shops on the High Street. If you deliver your catalogues regularly, if you deliver your customer’s goods promptly, if you are friendly and helpful, your customers will come back to you again and again. There is competition out there. You can worry about it, or you can make sure that the competition is worried about you.

Some people won’t buy from your catalogues.

Kleeneze has been a well-known British Brand since 1923, and it has a catalogue full of useful products, hard to find products, and products unique to Kleeneze. However, despite that, some people will not order from you. Some people never buy from catalogues, they might not like your name. Who knows why.

However, some people will buy from you, and your job is to deliver as many catalogues as you can, so that you find as many of those customers as you want.

Some people won’t want to join your team.

If you decide to start building your Kleeneze team, you will find that not everyone you speak to will want to join. Maybe the time is not right for them. Maybe they are happy with their job at the moment. Maybe they do not want this kind of business. You soon learn that when you first speak to someone, you are often just sowing seeds. Showing them that there is an opportunity available to them if, and when, they want it. They may not join you now, but you never know when their circumstances will change, and they ask you – “Are you still doing that Kleeneze thing?”

Some people will join your Kleeneze team and leave.

If you start talking to people about Kleeneze, there will be some people who can see the opportunity in the same way that you see it, and will join you. However, over the next few days and weeks or month, they realise that Kleeneze is not right for them. Maybe they are not willing to work hard, or maybe something happens in their life which puts them off. They decide that it is not right for them, and they leave. It will happen, and all that you can do is make sure that you support and coach your team to the best of your ability. Some will stay and become successful with you, but some will leave.

 

Summary

Kleeneze is a wonderful opportunity for you to build a high quality life for you and your family. Before you start, you need to make sure you understand the Pros and Cons of Kleeneze. Then you can make an educated decision, knowing what to expect.

Why would you pay to get a job?

How much is a Kleeneze startup kit?I get a lot of responses to my adverts for Kleeneze Catalogue Distributors and Team Leaders.

Clearly there is an interest in earning extra money. A second income, working flexible hours around your other commitments is a great attraction. Being able to build a residual income for the future is also tempting.

When I receive an enquiry for more info, I send them the Kleeneze information pack. They look through the information and watch the videos. They can see immediately if it is the sort of thing that they’re interested in. Some people say “No, that’s not for me”. Some people say “That looks interesting. I could do that“.

Then they read the part about Getting Started, and find out that there is a cost involved. To become a Kleeneze Distributor costs money. £25 to be precise.

Suddenly their interest disappears.

I can imagine their thoughts at that point. (This was my initial reaction when I first looked at Kleeneze)… “Hold on a minute – I am looking for work because I need to earn money, I don’t want to have to pay out before I even get started.

I know how they feel. Paying money out on a new venture seems risky.

  • Put those catalogues out once a week, (about 10-15 hours work) and you can soon be earning a nice part time income.
  • Continue to build a customer base of loyal customers who look forward to seeing you each month, and order from you regularly, and you’re income is growing.

Now I know I’ve simplified this, and you will need to work hard on your Kleeneze business, and you will have good days and bad days, but the point I am trying to make is… Don’t let the £25 start up fee put you off. You do that by delivering your catalogues around your area. Some people will order from you. Many won’t. You continue delivering to new houses. Then after a month, you go back to delivering to the houses you started from. You deliver a catalogue to each house, once per month.

By doing this, you are showing your new customers that you are reliable, efficient, and that you are here to stay. Some customers will order from you the first time you deliver a catalogue to them, some the second, some not until the fourth or fifth time. For many different reasons – they are busy, don’t have the money, were on holiday, who knows?

But after 6 months, you have given every house 6 opportunities to buy from you. You now stop delivering to all the people that never bought from you, and just deliver to your regular customers.

So in your first month, you are working harder than what you get paid for.

By the sixth month you are a lot more efficient, getting many more orders, and earning much more money.

 

You can continue delivering to new houses, finding more and more customers, for as long as you want – all the time building a base of loyal customers that will order from you again and again.

BUT – many new Kleeneze Distributors don’t understand this. They work for a month, and think it is going to be like that forever. So they quit.

This misunderstanding could be due to a poor sponsor. Or it could be that the new Kleeneze distributor is unwilling to learn…

 

Unwilling to Learn

Because Kleeneze is simple, many distributors think that once they learn how to put a catalogue through a letterbox (Learning time 5 seconds), How to place their first order (Learning time 5 minutes), then they have finished their Kleeneze education.

However, by far the biggest benefit of education is learning about yourself:

  • How you deal with problems
  • How you motivate yourself
  • Goal-Setting
  • Dealing with procrastination
  • Dealing with rejection

Personal Development can lead to HUGE growth in your business, and in your own self-confidence and personal skills, but most new distributors don’t see the reason for doing this, so they don’t.

With Kleeneze you can attend local meetings, workshops, regional seminars, National Showcases – ALL aimed at providing you with a high quality, specific education.

Again – a good sponsor will explain the benefits of this, but if the distributor is not interested, then they will remain uneducated, and will often quit at the first hurdle.

Unwilling to Invest

Kleeneze is not a job, it is a business.

Distributors are not employees, they are self-employed entrepreneurs.

A successful Kleeneze distributor will invest some of his profits back into his business:

  • Buying more catalogues if they want to expand their business
  • Buying business cards to give to prospects
  • Buy self-development books and cds for their own education

However, many new Kleeneze distributors join and see it as a job, and don’t understand why they have to pay for things which are part of the job.

If you want the benefits of being self-employed (flexible hours, no boss, no targets) then you must also be willing to pay some of the costs.

Some Kleeneze distributors are unwilling to invest any of their profits, they simply pay themselves 100% of the profits as their own income. As a result, their business fails to grow, and they quit.

Can you imagine a taxi-driver not investing in petrol, or regular servicing for his cab?

Can you imagine a plumber not investing in good quality tools?

 

 

Unwilling to Work

And finally, unfortunately, inevitably, some people are unwilling to work. They become a Kleeenze Distributor, and they want the benefits of having the money and the lifestyle that can provide, but they are unwilling to put in the effort that will deliver it. As a result they earn very little money, and they quit.
